Dr Hana Professional Photo

Antoin Hana, MD

Dr. Antoin Hana is the founder and sole owner of Frontier Medical Associates, Frontier Behavioral Health, Frontier Foundation, and all affiliated locations. In addition to being a dedicated pediatrician, Antoin is a father, a husband, a farmer, a pilot, and a businessman. His hobbies include fishing, farming, tennis, traveling, and flying.  

Antoin was born in Aleppo, Syria where he attended Medical School. After graduating from the University of Tishreen located in Latakia, Syria in 1999, Antoin moved to the United States to complete his pediatric residency. 2002 to 2005 his pediatric residency was completed through Cornell University at Lincoln Medical Center in Bronx, NY. From 2005 to 2006, Antoin was Chief Resident at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in Bronx, NY before moving to Eastern Kentucky.  

Since 2006 Antoin has remained dedicated to not only serving the pediatric population of Eastern Kentucky but growing to provide care for all populations within the rural communities without limitations.

Donald Chaffin, MD

Dr. Chaffin’s story is a testament to dedication, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to his community. A proud native of Eastern Kentucky (EKY), he exemplifies the spirit and resilience of the region. Dr. Chaffin is more than a physician—he is a cornerstone of EKY's healthcare, having devoted over four decades to serving its people with unmatched care and expertise. 

He is not just a doctor but a family man, married to his high school sweetheart, Liz, and the proud father of three remarkable adult children—Nick, Heath, and Elizabeth—and a doting grandfather to three precious grandchildren: Chloe, Rollins, and Graham. His love for his family is the foundation of his kind-hearted and empathetic approach to medicine. 

Dr. Chaffin, a graduate of Prestonsburg High School, pursued his undergraduate degree at Marshall University, setting the stage for an extraordinary career. Graduating from the Marshall University School of Medicine in 1982, he stepped into the world of medicine with passion and purpose. His journey has been defined by his relentless dedication to improving lives, touching countless hearts in EKY. 

In 2019, Dr. Chaffin brought his wealth of experience and vision to Frontier, further solidifying his legacy as a beacon of hope and healing. Dr. Chaffin embodies the values of service, excellence, and love for his community, making him not just a doctor but a cherished figure in Eastern Kentucky. A life spent lifting others—Dr. Chaffin is truly an inspiration.

Bethany Pennington, APRN

Bethany is a lifelong resident of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Bethany Pennington is deeply committed to the health and well-being of her community. Married to Rudy Pennington and proud mother of three—Bentley (13), Brantley (11), and Brylie (8)—Bethany balances her thriving career with an active family life as the ultimate sports mom. 

Bethany earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of Pikeville in 2006 and went on to complete her nursing degree in 2009. She brings over a decade of hands-on experience in critical care, having served in both the ICU and ER at Highlands Regional and Pikeville Medical Center. 

In 2019, she achieved her lifelong dream of becoming an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, graduating from Walden University. Since then, Bethany has been providing exceptional care in pediatrics and family practice for the past six years. For the last three years, she has proudly served alongside Dr. Hana, delivering compassionate and comprehensive care to patients of all ages. 

Bethany is not only a dedicated healthcare professional but also an engaged community leader. She is active in her church and serves on the Prestonsburg City Council, where she continues to advocate for the needs of local families and support initiatives that uplift the region she calls home. 

Driven by purpose and passion, Bethany believes in treating every patient like family and is honored to serve the community that shaped her.

Whitney Nelson, APRN

Whitney is a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner whose journey in healthcare is deeply rooted in her Eastern Kentucky (EKY) upbringing. A proud native of Prestonsburg, Whitney has always had a strong commitment to serving her community with skill, empathy, and resilience. 

She is married to Chad Nelson and is the loving mother of two young sons, Kade (6) and Kallaway (5), who inspire her every day. Whitney’s passion for nursing began early, leading her to pursue her RN degree at Big Sandy Community & Technical College (BSCTC), where she graduated in 2014. She then honed her expertise over five years in the cardiac unit at Pikeville Medical Center (PMC), delivering exceptional patient care. 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Whitney stepped up in a profound way, serving as a travel nurse in critical care units, providing life-saving treatment in one of healthcare’s most challenging times. Her dedication to advancing her skills led her to earn her APRN degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2020. 

In 2021, Whitney joined Frontier, where she now works alongside Dr. Chaffin, continuing her mission of bringing compassionate, high-quality care to the people of EKY. Her expertise, dedication, and unwavering commitment make her an invaluable asset to her patients and community. Whitney embodies the heart and strength of healthcare—an inspiring professional devoted to making a difference.

Kristen Predmore, PMHNP-BC

Kristen grew up in Huntington, West Virginia. After graduating from Marshall University, she received her Master’s degree at Walden University specializing in Psychiatry. Outside of work, Kristen enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family and pets. 

Robin Goble Professional Photo

Robin Goble, LCSW

Robin has 29 years of experience in the social work field and has practiced as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 22 years.  She offers interventions for individuals who struggle with issues including trauma, low self-image, sexual abuse, domestic violence, depression, anger, anxiety, relational problems, and PTSD. Robin accepts patients of all ages- children, adolescents, and adults. She uses a person-centered approach to all of her clients and is passionate about helping people live their best life by focusing on their strengths.  Her goal is to empower people. Robin has been trained in evidenced based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Person Centered, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR and TF-CBT. As well as being certified in the treatment of Complex Trauma and Dissociative Disorders.
